                      TGPZ - bridge adjusting high pot bearing's main specification and performance

                      1. Bearing configuration: In terms of performance, TGPZ bearings are divided into 4 kinds- Vertical movable bearing, horizontal movable bearing, multi-way movable bearing and fixed bearing.
                      2. TGPZ bearings are suitable for passenger dedicated line (mph≤350km/h), mixed passenger and freight line (mph≤200km/h), railway concrete beam, steel beam and steel-concrete composite beam.
                      3. TGPZ bearings are applicable for different kinds of beams with different arrangements.

                      Ⅰ . Bridge (2007) 8360-TGPZ series of bridge pot bearings

                      1. Bearing configuration: In terms of performance, TGPZ bearings are divided into 4 kinds- Vertical movable bearing, horizontal movable bearing, multi-way movable bearing and fixed bearing.

                      2. TGPZ bearings are suitable for passenger dedicated line (mp h ≤ 350km/h ), mixed passenger and freight line (mp h ≤ 200km/h ), railway concrete beam, steel beam and steel-concrete composite beam.

                      3. TGPZ bearings are applicable for different kinds of beams with different arrangements.

                      Ⅱ . Bridge (2007) 8360-TGPZ Series Bridge pot bearing's performance

                      1. simple supported girder bridge bearings have 12 grades in terms of capacity of reaction force (vertical load): 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 4000, 5000, 5500, 6000 and 7000KN;

                      multi-spam continuous girder bridge bearings have 24 grades in terms of capacity of reaction force (vertical load): 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000, 9000, 10000, 12500, 15000, 17500, 20000, 22500, 25000, 27500, 30000, 32500, 35000, 37500, 40000, 45000 and 50000 KN;

                      2. Design turning angle: 0.02rad

                      3. Horizontal load of bridge bearings

                      (DX) Multi-way movable bearings withstands 3% of the design reaction force

                      Under , horizontal design force of every direction of fixed bearing, vertical movable bearing in cross-bridge direction and horizontal movable bearing in bridge axial direction:

                      15%---- region's ground motion peak acceleration Ag ≤ 0.1g

                      30%----region's ground motion peak acceleration 0.1 < Ag ≤ 0.15g

                      30%----region's ground motion peak acceleration 0.15 < Ag ≤ 0.2g

                      40%----region's ground motion peak acceleration 0.2 < Ag ≤ 0.3g

                      Notes: when the region's ground motion peak acceleration A g > 0.3g , the bridge bearing can be made specially.

                      4. Design displacement of bearings

                      Multi-way movable bearings and vertical movable bearing in bridge axial direction :

                      Simple beam bridge bearings: 1000~3000 ± 50mm

                      3500~7000 ± 60mm

                      Multi-spam continuous beam bridge bearings have 5 grades:

                      3500~5000 ± 50mm , ± 100mm , ± 150mm , ± 200mm , ± 250mm

                      Multi-way movable bearings and horizontal movable bearing in cross- bridge direction :

                      ± 10mm

                      Notes: when the required movement factor is different from the factor mentioned above, the bridge bearing can be made specially.

                      5. Movable bearing's design friction coefficient :

                      Normal temperature : 0.03

                      Cold resistant: 0.05

                      6. TGPZ bearings adopt adding steel plate to adjust height:

                      Design adjusting height capacity of TGPZ bearing ≥ 50mm

                      Top lifting amount of each single time: 8mm

                      Reserve space for bearing adjusting high ≥ 50mm

                      Notes: when the required capacity of adjusting height is bigger, the bridge bearing can be made specially.

                      7. Temperature scope of application

                      Normal temperature (natural rubber): -25 ~ + 60 ℃

                      Cold resistant (natural rubber or ethylene propylene diene monomer ): -40 ~ + 60 ℃

                      8. Scope of track gradient : 0 ~ 20 ‰

                      Simple beam bridge bearings adopt changing the top surface of top plate to fit the requirement of gradient:

                      0≤ i ≤4 ‰, no gradient.

                      4 ‰ < i ≤12 ‰ gradient: 8 ‰

                      12 ‰ < i ≤20 ‰ gradient: 16 ‰

                      20 ‰ < i no gradient, adopting adjusting mudsill

                      Cast in place simple beam bridge bearings and multi-spam continuous beam bridge bearings:

                      no gradient on the top surface of top plate, adopt adjusting the concrete of mudsill.


                      Ⅲ . Bridge (2007) 8360-TGPZ Series Bridge pot bearing's specification

                      1. Bearings' materials

                      • bearings' steel, rubber compound, PTFE, SF-1 three-ply cladding sheet, silicone grease, precision rolled stainless steel plate, brass hoop cycle meet the requirement of 《 provisional specification of passenger dedicated bridge pot bearing 》

                      • Oil chamber for adjusting high bearing is filled in dimethicone. Its physical and chemical properties meet the requirement of HG/T2366-1992.

                      • Backing plate of adjusting height bearings and bearing linked plate is linked by Q235D. Its chemical and mechanical properties meet the requirement of GB700-1988.

                      • Type, size and technical figure of oil pipe joint meet the requirement of QC/T 403-1999. Red copper washer of choke meets the requirement of GB/T 2040-2002.

                      • Specification of oil chamber's lining cloth in bearing loading rubber plate adopts A2. Its appearance quality and technical figures meet the requirement of FZ/T55001-1999.

                      • Bearing oil pipe adopts copper pipe, its tick-wall is more than 2mm . its chemical and mechanical properties meet the requirement of GB/T1527-1997.

                      2. Bearing making

                      • dimension error of each part of bearing is accordant with the requirement- No. 3.8 of 《 provisional specification of passenger dedicated bridge pot bearing 》

                      • Vertical oil pipe's deviation from the center of lower plate is less than 0.5mm .

                      • On bearing loading rubber plate, the gap between lower plate of choke and top surface of lower plate is less than 0.2mm .

                      • Connecting thread between oil pipe's joint and choke meets the Grade N of GB/T197-2003.

                      • Before binding bearing loading rubber plate and choke in vulcanization, rubber and steel plate need to do tripping strength test, in the same vulcanization process, adopting qualified and same material rubber compound, adhesive and steel plate to do vulcanization can ensure that the stripping strength between rubber and choke is more than 10kN/m. choke is strictly accordant with design requirement. Oil chamber has better sealing, non-clogging and non-filtration. Choke deviation from center of oil chamber is less than 0.3mm .

                      • Oil chamber's upper and lower walls' thickness deviation: ± 2mm Diameter deviation of oil chamber: ± 1mm

                      Center deviation of oil chamber: ± 1mm

                      • Height deviation of adjusting steel backing plate: ± 0.2mm

                      Distance deviation of backing plate anchor bolt's hole and vertical and horizontal distance deviation of upper and lower plates' bolt: ± 0.5mm , diagonal deviation: ± 1mm

                       

                      3. Anticorrosion and dustproof of bearings

                      Anticorrosion and dustproof of bearings meet the requirements- No. 3.9 of 《 provisional specification of passenger dedicated bridge pot bearing 》

                      4. Assembly of bridge bearing

                      • After setting up bearing loading rubber plate and each joint of oil pipe, it is necessary to do pressure testing. When there is non-filtration with oil pipes, screwing the joint on is to prevent blocking oil pipes during transportation.

                      • TGPZ bearings are set up on an appropriative platform. After assembly, non-parallelism between upper and lower surfaces is less than 2‰ of long side. Vertical projection misalignment deviation of upper and lower bearing plate's symmetrical line is ± 0.5mm .

                      • After bearings' assembly, the total height deviation:

                      Vertical load < 20000kN, deviation ≤ ± 2mm

                      Vertical load ≥ 20000kN, deviation ≤ ± 3mm

                      • Exposed height deviation of PTFE plate's 4 points:

                      0 ~ + 0.2 mm

                      Ⅳ . Bridge (2007) 8360-TGPZ series bridge pot bearing's set-up and height adjusting

                      1. TGPZ bearing's set-up should meet the requirement of 《 provisional specification of passenger dedicated bridge pot bearing 》

                      2. Technology of bearing's adjusting height.

                      • During operation, when there is uneven settlement, which need to do height adjusting, the capacity of height is determined by maintenance examination department.

                      • When adjusting the height of bearing, it is necessary to prepare a temporary rigid support beside. As well as, an external connecting oil pump should link with the exposed choke of bearing's oil chamber.

                      • Through oil pump pressure, dimethicone is to be pushed into oil chamber lift up bridge beams. When it reach its height (top lifting amount of each single time ≤ 8mm ), pressure is stopped, oil pipe is locked, and temporary rigid support is adjusted to support bridge beam.

                      • With oil returning and tightly screwing connecting bolt of upper and lower bearing plate, dimethicone of oil chamber can be pushed out, as well as, temporary steel plate is put between top bearing plate and beam base (or lower bearing plate and bearing pad stone). Eventually, connecting bolt can be loosed.

                      • The above operation is repeated until reaching its required adjusting height.

                      • Eventually, using temporary rigid support bears the beam temporarily. Tightly screw connecting bolt of upper and lower bearing plate, dimethicone of oil chamber can be pushed out, as well as, prepared permanent steel plate which has the same height as required height (mm) is put between top bearing plate and beam base (or lower bearing plate and bearing pad stone). Eventually, connecting bolt can be loosed with adding pressure again.

                      • Finally, after oil return, screw bolt of beam base tightly. Then, the target, adjusting height is reached.

                      3. Notice

                      • When adjusting height, bearing filling steel plate need accord to design requirement. Also, filling steel plate between top bearing plate and beam base has priority.

                      • Dimethicone should have no any corrosion with rubber.

                      • Top lifting amount of each single time meets the requirement of design requirement. Meanwhile, it should satisfy the limitation requirement of different arrangement s of tracks. For statically indeterminate structure , structure stress should be regarded carefully.

                      For simple supported girder bridge bearings, in order to ensure the stability of girder body when lifting, it is prohibitive to lift two sides of one same girder.
